Petition to Fast Track a NEW I-10 Bridge in Southwest Louisiana

If we are going to be taxed into the poor house then some of that money should be used for a new bridge.

I cross that thing twice a day and say a prayer each time that it doesn't fall while I'm on it. I should be praying for other things besides that!

We've been told for several years that the I-10 bridge will get fixed or rebuilt but has that happened... NO!! I'm not waiting till there are several deaths on people's hands to get it fixed! This needs to be taken seriously and rebuilt now!!

This beautiful historical bridge needs a loot of touch-ups, structurally mainly.

I live in Lake Charles and I'm scared as hell when I drive across this bridge. Me scared for my life, on this 60MPH bridge I drive 80MPH to get across and wouldn't mind telling an officer why I was speeding.

I have driven the bridge with my son in tow several times. A friend of mine's husband drives the bridge frequently. Let's not repeat what happened to 35 in Minneapolis...unfortunately the 10 bridge would be a much bigger catastrophe than that was.

Do something before lives are lost.

Please fix the bridge. It is a safety issue and I can't believe that they still allow people to drive on it.

I travel over this bridge twice a day and will be having a teenager doing that in the fall. Please do something soon.

Fix the bridge ASAP or you'll have to fork out a lot of lawsuit money if the bridge does collapse!!

AFTER READING THIS ARTICLE NEITHER MYSELF OR ANY OF MY FAMILY MEMBERS WILL USE THIS BRIDGE AGAIN. IT IS CRIMINAL THAT THIS HAS BEEN ALLOWED TO GO ON FOR AS LONG AS IT HAS.

The I-10 bridge could be stopping potentially new business in our area. With the already growth spurt we need a new bridge before something catastrophic happens. Pro-active not hindsight!

Come on Louisiana take care of your state; do what's right!!!!

I'm 43years old, travel this bridge every day for work....beginning to wonder if a new bridge will EVER be built in my lifetime. The delays for a new bridge are absolutely pathetic!

Take care of citizens and first responders who are on that bridge daily

I think this is a good idea. Only con I see is if it takes forever people are going to get fed up with the road construction...but other than that. I say go for it. Better safe than sorry.

As a previous resident with ties to the community it's time to invest in some safety for our children's future.
