As a former player who was recruited by his staff and grew up with him as “my coach” I agree that a shrine should be built in his honor.

Had the privilege of hosting Don at a Central Ohio alumni function. Don is pure class all around.

Don did indeed build that stadium. Along with it, he built a new level of Mountaineer pride that has endured to this day.

We wouldn’t be what we are if wasn’t for him. He was wonderful and is still wonderful. I think no one else as far as a coach deserves a statue more than him.
