The university has officially lifted the mask mandate. It is heartening to see our community return to a more familiar way of interacting on campus. I hope we can maintain this sense of mutual respect as we move forward.

im sorry broski. everyone hates the masks as much as you do, some more due to things like asthma and claustrophobia. in the end however, this is not a decision made for the majority. 8% of WNEU's student population is unvaccinated, and whether that be due to religion, health, or whatever, we cannot risk that 8% in favor of the 92% that are vaccinated.
MA hasn't required masks so why are we? How about you idk trust the vaccine and science and don't ruin our year
The emergency response team has failed to enact policies that are in line with the basic scientific facts at hand
My brother was disabled and made a quadriplegic by a meningitis vaccine. I think I have plenty of backing when I say I’m not an “ableist narcissist” as you claim. Simply I’m putting out a notion to gauge student interest in removing the mask mandate through a process of meeting with administrators and the city leaders themselves.
We need to see people smile so we could spread happiness and connect with people at a deeper level
Do you have any proof they don’t work? What is a mask on ones face compared to people’s health?

Stop being selfish. Students who are immunocompromised depend on other students wearing masks to keep them safe. Do you really think it's worth it to put disabled students at risk? If so, you are an ableist narcissist and I hope you come to realize how serious this issue needs to be taken.
