A policy/law should be issued so that people can't just go out and purchase guns for the sake of their own reasoning. Gun violence happens to be the leading cause of premature death which is an unfulfilled life if a policy/law were issued we could prevent a lot of premature death in the world.

I do agree that gun voilence is a problem that needs to be put to an end, but saying all guns are a problem is not the solution we need, as criminals will not follow the laws we put in place. It only takes away firearms from law abiding citizens.
