SAIA request to grade WAF as category 1 ignored SACAP request to formally deliberate on B Arch degree in terms of Masters ignored or outstanding ie for international transfer of degree

I certainly agree with many of the items mentioned in the petition, if not all of them. I have personally experienced inept and misinformed prosecution against me, and I have experienced racist conduct against me from SACAP legal staff members.

SACAP should be doing a lot more to promote professionals and ensure public and private institutions comply with professional appointments

Fair representation by officials and better and bolder support for practitioners, particularly in cases where the profession is clearly under threat of obscurity and disrespect from other professions. Curb maladministration of fees, council must be run and managed by Architects, as they alone understand the hard work and effort it takes to build this career and livelihood.

The millions wasted on acquiring office space in Sandton could have fully funded. about 250 university students. The abnormal salaries and new office building will not address the current desperate state of affairs

In case it wasn't covered; SACAP has also failed to protect architectural professionals rights in the workplace. Unlike other professions that have unions the Architectural Profession has has no governance with regards to standard salaries, benefits and overtime. It makes you wonder what exactly we are paying SACAP to do for us.

I failed to get my architect registered with SACAP because all SACAP did is situated on his application and nothing was done despite my intervention. The architect ended up registering with the RIBA.

It is about time Architects act in the interest of fairness and take corrective measures where the integrity of the profession is concerned.

Current SACAP Board/Council must be dissolved due to failure to protect the reputation of the profession thus allowing the profession to go into lawlessness.
