Due to the recent events and conflicts in the Middle East, Qatar has been severely effected, which caused the ministry of education and higher education to ask Boards like Pearson Edexcel, Cambridge and Oxford to cancel all their examinations for the may/june 2026 session, as this would’ve guaranteed the safety of students. However, a 2 week ceasefire was recently announced by Donald J. Trump, the president of the United States of America. This ceasefire aims to calm the tension between the nations so that they could reach a final peace agreement to end the conflict once and for all. Which would eliminate the danger on students in middle eastern countries like Qatar, so it’d be reasonable for the Qatari ministry of education and higher education to ask the exam boards to lift the cancellation of the exams, and continue them as intended, which would be great news for a multitude of students whom find the alternative methods of determining grades confusing and unfair.
