Petition to Continue Commercial Activity at Caxambas Park

This is crazy! Let the small business owners make a living. We love to sit at Caxambas Park and watch the jet ski and kayak activity. Don’t take it away.

This will cause the island to loose money at restaurants and family's to co else well.

t is a great source of work and therefore an important tax collection. never throughout improving any activity the prohibition was the solution. Likewise, and seeing the search for tourists to find in Marco Island, knowing the 10,000 islands, this will be counterproductive for it. knowing that other counties like Bonita Beach and Siesta Beach are attracting many tourists. If the idea is that Marco is not a tourist place, what they do is that the city stops being the preferred stay for tourists.

This would be devastating to me and countless others. Local families will suffer tremendously. We must stop this from happening

Keep small businesses alive! Marco Island is a beautiful island with so much to see and do, how else will people be able to enjoy the beauty if the tours and rentals will not be available? I believe that the tours alone bring so much business to Marco Island. Please find another solution!

seriously leave local vendors alone to do their business. Locals and tourists count on them for their services.

These tours are people's livelihood. And this should be considered. There should be other options than completely shutting it down.

I love coming to Marco Island. For me, it’s a 1965 mile drive, or a solid 29 hours easy. I come for 2 reasons, Ali with SWFL Shell Guide and Paddle Marco. It is my understanding that these businesses wouldn’t be able to keep operating out of Caxambas Park. If this were the case, I would have no reason to come to Marco Island. The dollars me and my family spend there for other things like food and souvenirs would be gone. I guess we would just stay in Sanibel, which is sad because I really like Marco Island. Please reconsider taking this action. Thank you.

This would also choke local businesses that provide safe and pleasurable voyages to people who otherwise cannot afford it.

We need more parking! We need to keep our captains working! We need more launch areas with parking then they have somewhere to go! All the marinas are ridiculously packed and can’t add anymore commercial launching and tourist parking! Instead of denying access find a solution!

As a property owner on Marco, I feel this is a step in the wrong direction as my family has enjoyed tours from here. Why destroy these small businesses? They offer so much to the island.

My family really enjoyed the jetski tour here. Please do keep this park open for residents and tourists to enjoy! Thank you.

The livelihoods of many people depend on your choice, please think about this before you decide something so rash. My family plans to move to Marco island as we love all the activities there. This could drastically change our minds

Please don't close public parking for commercial activities. I personally would not visit your beaches if unable to have adequate parking so that commercial tours could continue using public ramps and we enjoy your city and county which includes your resorts, hotels, restaurants and other revenue producing things we as tourists would contribute.. thank you in advance.. My opinion, this would be a big mistake for tourism in the area! So many people love shelling tours, and boating in the area! Lots of lost revenue if it happens not only to tours etc, but to Marco Island businesses!
