Petition to Continue Commercial Activity at Caxambas Park

Please. Shutting all activity down is a very bad idea.

Closing the park to the handful of peaceful small owners who make a living doing what they love would be a disgrace to this community and those that visit and take part in the beauty of the surrounding islands.

Please don’t cancel the shelling tours!!!!!

Myself and many friends are employed by local tour companies that operate out of these areas and rely on the beautiful local boat ramps and parks to allow visiting guests and resident customers to park. The use of these areas is essential for our business to continue. Many of us rely on these jobs and have families to support. We love our beautiful southwest Florida environment and are passionate about educating people about it and sharing our gorgeous area with tourists who visit. Our companies bring in hundreds, if not thousands of tourists a year and more and more people are visiting southwest Florida after the pandemic to get outside and enjoy time with their families. After the worst two years in our economy due to the COVID-19 virus, we’ve FINALLY begun to see local businesses gain ground financially because people are anxious to visit the area here. People WANT to come here. Our tour company has individually attracted people from all over the United States and even other countries to visit the 10,000 Islands and these guests are REPEAT customers. They support hotels, restaurants, car rentals, locally owned businesses and of course the county parks as well by paying for parking at public areas they use for recreation. It is an absolute tragedy and completely unnecessary to shut out local tour companies in this area. They bring in much needed finances to this area! Please please please help us continue to be employed, support our families, educate the public about our beautiful environment, and keep local businesses in business!

Making the proposed changes not only hurts the tourism, it will impact the local business job security.

Let locals make a living , limit the out town spaces

So in a pandemic you are going to Shut down (SAFE) outdoor activities, hurt tourism, hurt business owners that may already be struggling due to COVID. MAKES NO SENSE!

We visit Marco 2 to 3 times a year. It seems the City leaders are trying to ruin it for visitors. Please continue to allow these types of activities on the island!!

The highlight of our SW Florida trips are boating in 10K islands! Please continue to allow these charters.

Do not over react please

Businesses are good for the economy, specifically now. Why do you want to close their businesses just because you don’t want people to come to your area! People are so selfish this days! I thought after 2020 people would change a little but things are getting worst. Let this people continue with their businesses & stop the selfishness

This is beyond ridiculous! Tourists won’t come to Marco if there aren’t shelling tours to 10,000 islands to go to.

Please don’t destroy the business that use this valuable Marina!!

This is terrible!! We vacation at Marco Island and love Paddle Marco! It’s something we do every vacation. This is terrible!

The beach is for everyone.

Why do we have and pay for these parks with our taxes? So 305's will come over more often and trash our beautiful beaches?????
