This has never been an issue before now. Atheists and humanists have right? Well, so do we! Not only Constitutional rights (which I believe trumps anything others say), but Biblical rights as well! It's time to take back our country!

Why is it that the non-believers can determine what we can or can't do in our schools based on our own beliefs? Who gives them that kind of power? If they can sue a school because someone led a prayer before a game, then I want to be able to sue the school for not allowing a child to lead a prayer before the game. If they don't want to participate, so be it but I choose to participate, I should have that right to do so.

This is what is wrong with our situation now. We have taken every one's rights away. What about my right to pray and worship with our students and show them that there is a better way. We would have plenty of money for the education of our children if we did not have to fund programs such as youth dentention centers. If they had a firm foundation and leadership by the adults in their lives, we would have less crime, drop outs, and junvenile deliquency. How dare one person dictate to the rest of us. DO NOT LET ONE PERSON AGAIN DICTATE OUR BELIEFS. Mister, if you don't like it, you are more that welcome to move. Thank you.

Would it be okay if a Muslim or Hindu teacher put up Muslim prayer or decorated their classroom wth Hindu decorations and scripture?

"Teachers are required to remove scripture from the signature line in their email. Teachers are not allowed to have any religious items or scripture posted in their classrooms, on their desks, or on their computers. Teachers are required to remove themselves from student-led prayers."
None of the above listed things are private. Sig lines on school funded technology are not private. That email conveys the authority of the institution. Desks, classroom space and computers are all publicly owned and visible; therefore also not private. Students can pray, as the petition mentions, but teacher can't be seen adding their teacherly authority to ANY prayer group--not just Christian prayer groups.
Teachers, of any faith, my pray privately. They simply cannot abuse their authority.
I think people who signed this petition deeply misunderstand how the separation of church and state benefits both.

If you think Bulloch County is bad now, just wait until the BOE takes the Biblical God completely out of the students lives and replaces Him with allah. They are Not the same! There is Only one God! Common Core is also a part of why this is happening. Fundamental Transformation, anyone?

Time to use all media options available to push this petition. Time for the most awareness possible. Do not waiver, do not hesitate. We all have the right to do so and that right is protected by the constitution and "In God we Trust".

The "separation of church and state" has been blown totally out of proportion. It's intent is to keep the state from establishing a religion (as was the case in Europe during dark ages) not to keep from the free exercise thereof. The twisted argument that by allowing religious activities they are establishing a religion is ludicrous and an affront to the liberty that was secured for us nearly 250 years ago.

religion is a personal choice, and the freedom of which should be protected. However, a teachers job in the classroom should be to teach students, not indoctrinate them into any type of religion, Christianity or any other religions.
