"A new NYU building for the Nursing and Dental school!? Wow, thanks NYU!" said the student who had yet to walk onto the 3rd floor common area. Let me first begin by saying the building is marvelous and absolutely breathtaking. However, once you reach the 3rd floor you begin to wonder what NYU was thinking by not placing computers on the floor. "The Commons" floor, as they call it, includes eight printers, group study rooms, and seating for 350. BUT. NO. COMPUTERS. NYU's College of Nursing website even described the new building saying, "The building also includes the latest advances in educational technology to provide an unequalled learning environment for students." A learning environment with no computers available for these students? How does that qualify as unequalled? Additionally, if the trek to school wasn't enough, they now expect each student to lug around a laptop with them each day. Maybe NYU did not think this was a problem but this petition is to show them that it very much is. Please sign this petition to bring computers to the 3rd floor of the 433 First Avenue building.
