This petition is for the new Lordstown Energy Center. The Center needs the Planning Commission and Village Council to re-zone property located on Salt Springs Road to I-1 in order for Clean Energy Future to begin the process of building its facility. The financial gain to the Lordstown Local School District would be $1,000,000 to $1,500,000 per year for the first 15 years. Over a 40 year period, the Energy Plant will pay at least $95,500,000 in taxes to the Village/School District. A short term levy would be needed by the District to bridge the gap between now and the time the payments start. Clean Energy Future will pay the School District at least $500,000 per year during the construction phase.
