Just saying, do you really think we need to be introduced as to how to use a gym's facilities? Firstly, must of us already know how to. And, secondly, there are explanatory diagrams on the machines themselves. And anyway, if we just go to the gym, what's the worst that could happen? We become unconscious from doing too much exersize? Surely not, as we would stop if we couldn't do any more exersize. And anyway, even if we become uncosious, it could happen to any block. I am only happy to agree with you if you give me a valid reason why we cannot use the gym.

I agree - my housemster also said only e block and up are allowed, and many of us wish to use it

Personally, I believe this petition is not necessary, because from what I have been told, the gym will be open to F Block after we get our introduction to the gym. I have heard (from my Housemaster) that this will occur sometime this Half (i.e. Before Christmas).
In addition to this, the school would bear responsibility legally if any accidents occur to a f-blocker, not "introduced" to the machines by a master. The school wants to ensure that we all can use the machines safely and responsibility without hurting ourselves or others and without damaging the machines. There isn't that long left to wait.

If that's true, it's a good point, but conversely my housemaster and one of the gymnasium staff told me that F Blockers are still considered 'not mature enough' to use the machines, and that only F Blockers with certain health/dietary are allowed to use machines like treadmills; and only until E Block are we allowed to use them liberally. I'll have to clarify with Mr Norton to see.
