Why in this day and age is there still such fear about people of color?

Please support our Calvert County Board of Education Members as they work to get the best, and most qualified candidates to serve as our Superintendent of CCPS.

The 2 candidates are qualified for the position and nothing should stop the BOE from continuing the process.

I think it's only fair that these two have a fair opportunity to show why they are good candidates, the same way that Dr Curry had an opportunity without any major resistances

As a lifetime citizen, student and retired teacher of the Calvert County Public School System, I can't believe it has come to this. The Board of Education members have always been the ones making this decision. Why, now are those who feel they can do a better job. I would think you would want a qualified superintendent no matter the issue you may have, I believe we all know what the issue is. We have a Board of Education that was elected to do just what they are doing. Let them do their jobs. Thanks to the Board members for your commitment to making sure CCPS has the best in every way for our students.

Please support the rule of law and allow our elected officials to do the jobs they are obligated to. The system works if allowed to.

I am confident that the two candidates are more than qualified for this position. That other petition is driven by pure IGNORANCE and by people who literally don’t know any better.

As a graduate of Calvert County Public Schools, former Calvert resident, and someone who has friends who are both parents of students and teachers in Calvert's public schools, it's rather disheartening to a small group of ideologues attack the process of selecting a Superintendent in order to push an agenda of fear and misinformation. Growing up, Calvert's public schools provided a progressive, forward-minded vision for students like me. Now we have petty gadflies filing frivolous lawsuits based on non-existent issues, and qualified candidates being dismissed for no reason other than the fact they didn't come from "Culvert County." These people are a disgrace to the county and ought to be ashamed of themselves. The Board of Education are professionals and ought to be allowed to do their job without interference or pressure, period.

Crazy this even needs to be made. The others do not represent this county.

The BOE has followed a common and fair process in selecting the next superintendent. There is no evidence based reason to not proceed with the process. Each candidate has the credentials and experience to lead CCPS.
