The board has officially confirmed the appointment of our new superintendent. This outcome honors the trust we placed in our elected representatives and ensures that our schools can move forward with stable leadership. I appreciate the time each of you took to affirm the importance of this process.

BOE members are elected to hire and manage the superintendent. The superintendent is not an elected position. The two candidates who were chosen are highly qualified, and CCPS children do not present unique challenges that other children in different districts do not face.sign to show your support for the elected BOE and the two superintendent candidates

Dr. Jones, Dr. Townsel, Calvert BOE - the loud opposition DO NOT speak for all of us. We support you 100%. Can’t wait to see the positive changes you could bring to CCPS.

While there are people who enjoy making a scene at meetings to try to sway public opinion, there remains a significant majority of people in the county who want the BOE to be able to do their job. Enough with people using the "Culture Wars" Handbook to hijack our community.

It IS the job of our ELECTED Board of Education to run our school system. The board of commissioners determine funding and not policy. Parents have always had input but do not control the curriculum, hiring, etc

I support the Calvert County Board of Education! I graduated from Calvert High School. As a parent of children going all the way through our great schools, I know full well about the excellence of our public schools. These two candidates are extremely well qualified. I trust the Board of Education to make the best choice.

I think it's only fair that these two have a fair opportunity to show why they are good candidates, the same way that Dr Curry had an opportunity without any major resistances

These appear to be two excellent, well choose candidates for the position. As a former teacher I would have been proud to work with and for either. The Board faces a difficult choice, but they have obviously done their job well so far.

The process is known and the BOE did advertise the process ahead of time. No one rejected the process until after candidates were selected.

There is no place for discrimination in Calvert County.
