Women should be supported if they choose to have a home birth. Research shows that home births are by far safer for low risk pregnancies. Let's follow the models set by the UK and NZ! Support midwives and support homebirth. It's our human right to choose.

It is every woman's right to birth he children where she feels safe. Please don't take a good part of that safety away by not allowing midwives to attend the home births which will still happen. This is just ludicrous.

Midwifery is internationally known as the gold-standard of maternity care. Safety in birth relies heavily on the woman feeling safe & supported. For many, that means birthing at home with a private midwife. This needs to remain a choice for all women to make. Please don't legislate away bodily autonomy & informed consent.

a woman deserves to birth where ever she believes is best without having to sacrifice the professional help she desires!!! (if men gave birth, i'm sure this wouldn't even be an issue.)

Home birthed 3 babies and had the 1st two in midwife run birthing units. Amazing, supportive and women-centric system in NZ. Australian women deserve the same respect to choose where they birth.

It is a woman's right to determine who cares for her.
