I fully encourage the Australian Government to make it law that Independant midwives can attend homebirths under an ongoing exemption to have PI insurance.

Home birth should be the norm not the exception. It has the best birth outcomes for low risk pregnancy. Look at the Netherlands!

I had 2 home births in Holland, where home births is normal and fully insured. Awesome experience, we should have it here!

Without midwives having insurance suitable for them to be able to support homebirth, many women who desire to homebirth with an eligible midwife will miss out on the most beneficial birth for them.

Please consider what you are doing this action, birthing at home is a very natural way to have children

Qualified midwives. I had three healthy homebirths with top quality medical care. All healthy women should be allowed this option.
