Birth Politics: Not allowing private midwives to get indemnity insurance is just a way to control where and how women give birth.

Midwives are amazing and so is home birth

Women have a right to birth at home in a safe environment with a qualified and experienced midwife.

Choice for all!

It's so intuitive to maintain freedom of choice, this is a basic woman's right.

I respect the rights of all women making choices as to how they give birth under supervised medical personal.

My private midwives were the predominant reason I felt confidence in my mothering instincts and ability to care for my son. They offered a shining light in pre and post natal care and with their help any woman can raise healthy and capable adults for our future. Midwives must be free to offer their invaluable services and wisdom unhindered.

Woman need choice to birth where they feel safe and supported to bring their newborn into the world. The option to homebirth with a professional midwife for many women is their top priority. We are the only species of mammals that can doubt it's ability to give birth. I care that we women have options, that we are supported in our choices and we are respected.

I am signing this petition because women should have the choice to have their children at home and also have the best care available. This means having midwives being able to attend homebirths.

At a point where the UK NHS has public ally announced that 40% of women are better off birthing at home or in a birth. Centre. It makes no sense for Australia to be making safe Homebirth impossible

This is about providing more options to women. Every woman deserves to have the birth experience she chooses.

Women need to be able to choose where to birth and have safe support

We should all birth at home unless we have a medical reason not too. Birthing is not a illness and we need midwives to make this safe and possible!

Along with thousand of other women. We need not only want but need the private midwives to keep their PI Insurance.
