I grew up with Ju, we have been like brothers since as long as I can remember. He deserves a chance to play, everybody makes mistakes and this one happened to be an accident

I don't think any one of us can look back at our teenage years and say we didn't do something we wish we hadn't. We only know This young man to be of extraordinary fine manners and great spirit!

I have known this young man for quite a while and I know him to be a fine one who made a mistake. He does deserve a second chance. Actions such as removing him from sports are not the true lessons needed for today's youth. Please reconsider...

he was my best friend & i know what & who juleian is. This was a mistake & he should not be stripped of his ability to play sports. He is harmful to no one and should be able to play.

Let this young man play. Rather see him on the field than on the street. Shame on you for not giving him a second chance. We all make mistakes.

This kid needs as much positive influence as he can get at this stage in life. Banning
him only gives him more opportunities to make mistakes. Our schools should be teaching and molding, not banning and scolding.

I personally know this mother and all of her wonderful, bright, and intelligent children.
She is a great mother who has raised them all on her own and honestly.....I envy that!
My son was also in JROTC with this student at Harrisonburg High School. This is a respectable young man that made one mistake. This is exactly why our youth are subjected to the wrong things in life.
One mistake and everyone gives up on them.....what type of example is that setting?
Second chances are due, especially to our youth with a back ground such as this young man.
Let him play, and get involved!

Julien is a very talented student. I had a class with him last year and I didn't personally get to know him very well, but he was an outstanding student who did all his work and cared about himself. If anything, Juleian Cappell taught me a couple of things while we had class together.

It appears that this young man has taken responsibility and that keeping him off the field is not necessary to teach him a lesson. Please allow him to participate in HHS sports.

We all make mistakes, don't take away something that he's great at, football has the potential to impact his life in such a positive way
