Petition to Advocate for Kroger store on South Limestone Springfield Ohio to reconsider leaving the community with Healthy and sustainable food suppor

I am 72 yrs old and spend a lot of my food budget at this Kroger. So does my family who live with me. If I can't drive they walk for me. If I have to go across town my money will be spent at Aldis etc not at Krogers. So sorry for all the great employees at our Krogers. Will miss you all.

We need Krogers

You can't build up downtown for income and growth and forsake the South side of the same city you want to bring people into

A lot of people have no transportation to go anywhere else sometimes I forget to get something to fix my dinner and I have a grandson and he rides his bike to pick up things also have elderly lady has no transportation an he rides there for her this closer is going to affect a lot of people in this area with a convenient place to grab there groceries

You took out the store on North Lime leaving many in the area no store within walking distance. Now you would do the same to those on the south side. So sad that a company in the "Service industry" doesn't really want to serve.

The people of Springfield have supported Kroger for decades. It’s time Kroger supports us back.

The great people of the “South End” need this store. When you are raised on the “South End”, this store becomes part of your life!!! Please, please don’t close this store!! God Bless the “South End”!!!!

I don't think it's right leaving families without fresh food just to upgrade some tech at other stores.

Please do not leave people without a grocery on this side of town. Too many people NEED this and are not able to travel to other areas.

The store helps the community by being close enough to walk to if you live on the South Side of town. So many people walk ride bikes or their power chairs to the store, and when this Kroger is gone , how is anyone that has no transportation get to another store across town? Some people just dont have the luxury to get rides to where they need to go, so the store helps so many people.

Stop making people starve in the name of profit. This is ridiculous.

As I understand from a recent statement made by Kroger, they plan to shift their emphasis to development of technology & digital advances to make shopping a “seamless” experience. But how “seamless” is the experience when people can’t get to the store to utilize the fancy technology or can’t afford to have products delivered to their door? And if Kroger wants to improve their infrastructure, as they also say in their recent statement, why can’t they recognize that some customers need most of all to have a good basic locally accessible store that is well stocked with the healthy food & items they need, instead of all the fancy bells & whistles? I don’t shop the S. Limestone store but have been a loyal customer of another Kroger location. I’m very disappointed about the company’s decision.

Please keep it open !!!!! If you're going to close it at least make sure it's replaced with a different store before you close Kroger doors. Thank you

It will cause a food desert for south side. Elderly, and those without transportation will suffer it's loss. For decades the community supported and enhance profits for the Kroger Corp.

I live in the Dayton area and it breaks my heart what is happening. Store after store is closing in areas of lower income,diversity, and elderly who do not have transportation to get food. I will never shop Kroger again. If you Google 'kroger leaving food deserts' you will be shocked how many stores and how long they have been doing this. They claim low profits..or they want to focus on delivery. That's crap. Even Rev. Jesse Jackson started a boycott a couple years ago. In some cases Kroger shuts one down and builds a mega store a mile down the road. I guess they expect those with no transportation to walk that extra mile just for them.

Keep the Southend Kroger

I am a Springfield resident and I no longer live on the south side. I live in the north and shop at the Derr Rd. Kroger. The closing of the Kroger on So. Limestone Kroger will cause overcrowding on Derr Rd., as did the closing of the No. Limestone Kroger. Handicapped parking is almost non-existent. This is a problem now and will only be worse now. I feel like I'm asking for something impossible but I ask because I must for the sake of so many of my friends and family. Don't close Kroger on So. Limestone. Thank you.
