Kroger on S.Limestone is convienent for a lot of the elderly who have no transportation but can walk 2 blocks to get groceries it is convenient for all others who just need to get milk for their babies at 11am at night vs. driving to north end or all others who just need some eggs and bread vs. going to the north end. My opinion is that this Kroger is needed more then you think and should not be closed down for good if anything it’s needs to be larger with more selections in food.

This is not a good idea. There are so many on this side of town who do not have transportation, myself included. I have kids we walk up to Kroger to get our groceries. I watch several orhers around me do the same.

I love the convenience of the store. Being a morning shopper I always have the best cheerful cashiers. Someone always bags your groceries. The employees always greet you cheerful and wish you out of the store with have a blessed day.. I will miss the Kroger store serving that location since the ending of World War II.

This is a horrible choice to make and will effect so many eldery and children. Single walking mothers. Struggling dads. What about the girl with the new born? Where does she get formula with no transportation?? What about the people with no money for the over priced frozen stuff at Walgreens next door. What about the vegetarián? Where is closet fresh produce... East side.. FAR east at that. Not only will the store leave ... But one be sold to even give the opportunity for a new grocery store to come service the south side of town. This is absolutely HORRIBLE. Not to mention the jobs that will be lost in a city with hardly any jobs as is. Please dont do this!.... And guess what. I dont even live on the south side and this matters to me as if I did!!!

The community needs this. Not everyone is fortunate enough to go to others sides of town. This is all we have on this side of town.

The closing of this store would be detrimental to many of the citizens who live in the area. This store provides not only a sustainable food source, but also provides jobs for those in the surrounding community. Please reconsider this closure and the many advantages that this branch location provides.

It makes no sense. Your gonna take away the only source of food from the side of town that really needs it most. Not everybody has a car or can spend money to drive all the way to the west or north side.

This grocery store is vital to the south side of Springfield! If you are going to close, at least sell the property so another grocery store could move in!
