Petition to Advocate for Kroger store on South Limestone Springfield Ohio to reconsider leaving the community with Healthy and sustainable food suppor

We need to keep this store open. It is the only store that the southside of Springfield has access to.

This store is the only grocery option for many families on the south side of Springfield. Shutting it down is just cold and heartless for those that live in this area. So many families have to walk to the grocery as it is, and they need this Kroger to stay open!

I have grownup going to the south side Kroger’s this is the closest store we have and we don’t have much. So please reconsider closing our store or at least redo it.

Kroger’s has be around supporting our south side for ages. It makes no since to take away the only grocery store in the south side. A lot of people on this side of town including elderly do not have transportation and walk there to shop for food. It would be a selfish in human deed to do if you take away the only grocery accessible to most of the south side! Please do not close this store. It’s all we have over here!

They need this grocery on the south side. For thos that walk to there ... the ONLY grocery available to these people....

It makes absolutely no sense to close the ONLY store on that side of town...How could you not realize Kroger on S. Limestone is the only option for many people living in that area to purchase fresh grocery for themselves and their families. Everyone does not have access to transportation and Springfield doesn't have public transportation - Get it together Mayor Copeland and Kroger Corporation!!!!

I was one of those struggling parents of 5 that had to walk to South limestone Kroger’s from Lincoln park st and it was a major. Convenience for us to get what we needed on foot it will hinder a lot of us to see this store close with no other place near to shop

We need a grocery store on the Southside of Springfield.. Kroger should think about what they are doing...

I’m only signing it because I am an advocate for the people. I worked at Tubman Tower for seven years and the residents depended on Kroger to not only shop but pay their bills and get money orders. Prior to that I worked at Lincoln Park and the young low income families needed somewhere in walking distance to obtain their food. When this store closes I will not shop Kroger again anywhere. Let this be a lesson in progress people. They were going to build a Kroger Marketplace you didn’t want it. Now you are left with nothing.
