Petition to Address Year Back 2022 & 2023 batch (2025-2026 Academic year)

Please consider promoting the 22–23 batch without a year back. Many students have faced challenges beyond their control during that academic period.It would be more fair to assess the 22–23 batch with leniency due to academic disruptions and mental health challenges many faced during that time. We, the undersigned students, respectfully submit this petition to express our deep concerns regarding the implementation of the year back system. While we understand the importance of academic standards, we believe the year back system disproportionately affects students' mental health, financial stability, and academic motivation. This system penalizes students harshly for setbacks that may be due to various factors including personal, medical, or socio-economic issues. Instead of promoting learning, it often leads to discouragement and dropout risks. We request the authorities to consider alternative, student-friendly measures such as supplementary exams, credit-based progression, or academic support programs that promote recovery and growth without losing an entire academic year
