It's not fair to implement it so fast, it was not even informed to us earlier by our institution. Or the current exam marks has to be considered.

Respected Sir/Madam, We, the students of KTU, are writing this with deep hope and sincerity in our hearts. We kindly request you to understand the struggles many of us are silently facing. Getting a year back is not always because students do not study or take things lightly. On the contrary, many of us work very hard, attend classes regularly, and sincerely try our best to pass. But still, due to various circumstances beyond our control, we are unable to succeed. Some students are forced to miss supplementary exams because of personal emergencies, financial issues, or family responsibilities. Others face mental health struggles, lack of proper support, or even health problems. These situations are never planned or wanted—they just happen, and we are left helpless. It's heartbreaking when efforts go unnoticed just because we couldn't pass within a limited time. The year back system creates a heavy emotional and mental burden on students. It affects our future, our self-confidence, and our mental well-being. Many students begin to feel stuck and hopeless, and it becomes very difficult to move forward. The fear of losing one whole year leads to stress, anxiety, and sometimes even depression. We understand that the university wants to maintain high academic standards, but we truly believe that this should begin right from the entrance level and continue through supportive systems—not by punishing students for struggling. Students need motivation, not discouragement. Therefore, we humbly and earnestly request you to please reconsider the year back system. Kindly give students another chance, with more flexible and compassionate policies. Please allow us to move forward without being held back for reasons that are often out of our control. We are hopeful that our voices will be heard and that the university will support its students in the true spirit of education—with empathy, understanding, and care.
