Petition to Address Year Back 2022 & 2023 batch (2025-2026 Academic year)

I have 12 pack papers right now. Don't have credits in first year and I just finished my first semester. I am really bad at my academics, it is not because I hate engineering. I am a person who decided to study electronics and communication engineering when I was 14 years old. In my first year of engineering I was struggling with depression. And was continuously having anti anxiety drugs. I have even thought of ending my life a few times during my first and second semester. Even though I am sure that I will never give up or drop out of college because I am studying my dream house, I am scared of engineering and scared of the subjects just because of lack of self esteem. For the past 1 year I have been constantly trying to clear my bad papers I couldn't do it but I really want to do it. There are still students like me out there it will be really hard for the students like me to improve after getting an year back. From the beginning of my engineering life to tell today there are lot of relatives and my very on family members are telling me to drop out they believe that I can't do it. I am still in my college because I want this engineering degree. There are people really close people in my life trying to put me down and I am refusing because I am not ready to. Please don't do this year back because it will be really hard for me and a lot of other students who has the talent and struggling through their own personal problems.

The current year back system under 2019 scheme is affecting our mental health and future. Kindly consider relaxing the rule for the 2022 & 2023 batches.

The year back system is causing immense stress and mental health issues. We deserve a chance to move forward with our batch and improve without losing an entire year.We're not asking for leniency, only for fairness. Removing the year back will allow us to prove ourselves without being left behind.

Please consider promoting the 22–23 batch without a year back. Many students have faced challenges beyond their control during that academic period.It would be more fair to assess the 22–23 batch with leniency due to academic disruptions and mental health challenges many faced during that time. A year back could severely affect students' careers and morale. Alternative academic solutions should be explored for the 22–23 batch.
