Being a City of Phoenix Firefighter and raising a family in the Norterra community, it's an absolute must to have quicker response times for our large and growing larger community! Tragedies have already taken place and gone unnoticed in our community for too long. Let's make this happen!

I bought my house (which was next to a dead-bush along backside of I-17) for one reason only, the "coming soon fire station" sign right down the street less than 1 mile away. That was in 2008, 9 years later...nothing. For shame.

Get this built, those brush fires last week on the 303 could have been stopped with a closer unit and more personel as well as the mulch fire last year that would have been their first due area. Response times are ridiculous.

So much development is going on - many more people and a lot more traffic. With more congestion, it will take longer for emergency life-saving support to get to us up here in Norterra. Please build a Fire Station at Jomax and I-17. Thank you.

We've had to call the fire dept (911) on several occasions. My husband was unconience on the floor and in shock from deyhration and their response time was 8 minutes, that to me is way to long to wait for an emergency. With 4 small children, our neighborhood should have a way faster response time!

This area is in desperate need of a closer fire station! The current response time is usually 10 mins. I had to perform CPR on a neighbors little girl who was found at the bottom of the pool. It took them 10 mins to arrive. The little girl died. :(
