this is nonsensical. Ive been working out in ust gym for 4 years and never expect this happen. How could school try I limit the the number of people in the gym.

I urge the related department should take immediate actions including abolishing the waitlist system and resume the previous arrangement on gym usage. On one hand, Hkust has often highlighted the importance of healthy life while on the other hand it gradually limit the time of students using the sports facilities which is entirely not tollerated especially without proper consultation and not considering opinion voiced from other stakeholders.

There are not enough equipment for dealing with some of the peak hours. The queuing line for a single bench is staggering.

I want better gym.
Wait list system shouldn't be abolished most Universities use it because it's fair but our waiting list system is certainly flawed.
