Every summer, lots of local Sammamish kids went to Mary Queen of Peace Church for Destination Science camps. It is way safer not to have homeless shelter so close to the opening area with kids, camps, Arbor schools, YMCA centers, and so on. Please

I believe the petition is meant to push forth a plan for a stringent review process for applicants, security measures and be transparent to us residents in Sammamish. We fully support helping the homeless but would hope that the needed safety precautions are taken. I don’t think that we should be too aggressive as to completely eliminate the idea of encampment but more so to consider safety first.

As a parent, I am deeply concerned and worried about this.

Marymoor Park would be a great location with also services.
