Petition ​Regarding the Appointment of the National Librarian/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at the National Library of South Africa (NLSA)

We wnet to school to come make a difference in the society so give us our things and we won't make noise

to have an appointment

It is not fair to the profession where a nonLibrarian is appointed to manage such an institution.

I stand against non-qualifiers

Only a qualified librarian should be appoint

Enough is enough

We require a qualified leader

I'm standing with the fact that NLSA must appoint candidates holding LIS qualifications

In full support of the petition which demonstrates clarity of thought and requirements to progress the LIS sector and the institution, National Library.

Not under our watch

They must hire a person with knowledge and experience of the library services .

Some of us have relavent work experience and qualifications but we are still to find jobs

We are sick n tired being undermined as library professionals..it need to stop and recognise us

Protecting the integrity of NLSA and its mission.

Information is the backbone of the all human race.

We demand public closure of Board of information and the commitment to LIS standards.

You have a tendency of advertising post with questionable requirements, in requirements you want someone who had Grade 12...why? Because someone who had qualifications of library surely she/he had grade 12. Stop that you need to amend your requirements, which is embarrassing.

Assistant librarians and librarians must be qualified, there are a lot of graduates who are unemployed yet grade 12 is required for what they've studied so hard for
