Petition regarding Bush Farm Retirement Community

I am opposed to the height variance request being made for the retirement community proposed for the corner of Arnold Palmer Boulevard and Old Henry Road. Also, the developer should be required to construct a berm with the height and landscaping of at least the quality of the existing Lake Forest Legacy berm across Arnold Palmer from the proposed development. Further, the developer should not be allowed to reduce the height, width, or plant materials of the existing Bush Farm Road berms.

We are against the building of this nursing home has requested by the developer. We feel at a very minimum only entrance for this facility should be off of Bush Farm Road. Additionally there should be large berms as the rest of Lake Forest/the legacy has. Also we are against raising the current height restrictions.

Proposal for Bush Farm Retirement Home is not compliant with Lake Forest requirements which a residential area not a commercial area.

I am in agreement with the height variance petition. I believe a berm should be extended behind the retirement community at the end of Abington Ridge Place (a cul-de-sac) to cut down noise and sight of delivery trucks and parking. We are concerned that people will drive directly through our street to get to the retirement community.

Iwould like to see a higher mound so even in winter with less greenery to block the view, it would look smaller. thank you

Let's keep Lake Forest a nice place to live. There are many other location options for a Retirement Center. I understand it's probably going to be built at LF, but let's do everything possible to keep it from being an eye sore.

I am opposed to the three story height of the retirement community. I request the retirement community to construct a landscape berm along the west side of Arnold Palmer Boulevard of equivalent or greater height with quality as the attractive existent landscaper him along the East side of Arnold Palmer Boulevard.

Why was access granted off a residential street for a commercial facility. Totally ridiculous. Accidents just waiting for a time to happen at this facility entrance. The Planning Commission will have injuries and deaths on their hands. (Along with lawsuits for allowing this construction.)
