Petition of Support for the Rezoning efforts to change the land from multifamily to singlefamily

By signing this petition , we support the effort to rezone the Multifamily land between Bowman Roberts Road and Huffines, and south of Cromwell Marine Creek. This land is better suited to commercial and single family homes, like those in the surrounding area.
This area is not suited for apartments for the following reasons:
1. Roads are not slated for improvement till 2025 at the earliest.
2. There are no sidewalks to allow for pedestrian traffic.
3. The area is not close to hospitals, public transportation, or employment centers.
4. Emergency services (EMT, fire departments) are stretched to the limit already.

This would cause a lot of problems with safety and traffic. School routes for children who walk to school are already dangerous and this danger would increase with increased traffic from apartments being built.
I agree that this area doesn't have the correct support services to add more people. It would also be nice to leave the flood plane open for the local widelife.
New construction needs to be slowed until city services can catch up with the traffic and health and human service demands along with police/fire support. The City of Fort Worth freely annexed and raised taxes to our area and is allowing growth but not providing the services needed. Tragic!
Please no apartments. This area is already becoming over-crowded and traffic unsafe due to congestion. Please change the zoning to single family homes. I moved to this area to get away from the over-crowding that was occurring in the Watauga-Keller area. If this continues, I will once again be forced to move and I do love this neighborhood.
I support the rezoning of this land to commercial and single family homes. I do not want apartments thrown into our beautiful community. The congestion on the roads it would create would be unbearable. Our community at marine Creek ranch isn't even fully developed and we will have hundreds more houses soon.
We just moved into the neighborhood from our other neighborhood because of the school. It was a blue ribbon school. That was until they built apartments.
Too many apartments already in the area. Adding more will only mean that the single family buyers will not get what they are paying for.... "The SINGLE family environment"

This area does not have the infrastructure to support a multifamily zoning. This area does not have hospitals near by, it does not provide public transportation, and there are no near employment centers. I believe these are just some of the things needed for supporting a multifamily zone.
