we actually did it and the cid board is moving on. im honestly relieved we finally got the change we needed to protect our homes. thank you to everyone who stuck with this because we clearly proved that we deserve better.
We the undersigned feel that the current CID Board of Supervisors is no
longer effective in protecting the financial interests of the Port of
the Islands Community homeowners and believe that the decisions that
they are making and the proposals that they are considering are to the
detriment of the overall Port of the Islands community, our real estate
values, and our financial stability.
Ray Charles can see these Board members are operating under the gross misconception that they "rule" us, rather than "serve" in our favor.

It appears that the board has a agenda that isn't aligned with the community's best interest.

The current board needs to make its desires for the hotel (and the need for a bond) transparent and give the community a chance to vote on it -- it's our taxes that will be impacted and we should have the final say.

If the CID has a plan that makes sense they need to publish it for the community to better understand the reasons for their actions

Port of the Islands is a very special place... First, as a Floridian... it is my full time home... Next... it is one of the last true wildernesses left... Not just in Florida but in all of North America... We as a community must work together to make sure it is properly managed by this community and boards with similar beliefs...
