Petition to Address Excessive Noise from Recently Opened Gun Range

We Do not need a gun a gin range! Excessive noise

I am a gun owner and shoot as often as I can but I would never dream of putting an outdoor range behind a public park and in close proximity to adjacent residents. Even the GA DNR puts their public shooting ranges on large Wildlife Management Areas away from close populations. This is absurd.

I'm all for guns but this is too close to my farm. The sound of gunshots cause undue stress to my livestock and to my farm dogs.

i heard it today, people in power who also run restate are killing monroe for money and you voted for them with out doing your homework

I don’t want this across my quiet neighborhood.

I believe it would be unsafe for the nearby residents and ball field. Also the existing park would be off limits to explore.

For safety reasons, I do not recommend putting a gun range so close to Criswell park where kids and a special needs baseball team plays. Dangerous and the sound would also disturb and could set off behaviors with the special needs children.

As a citizen of Walton County/Monroe, Ga .I am opposed to the gun range being in operation in our city!

Please don't build a gun range in a public park. It's beyond absurd and dangerous. My gawd what are you people thinking?????

We live near the ball fields off of Criswell Rd. We are not in favor or adding the gun range. The noise and safety is a big concern. How is it safe to put a gun range next to Criswell Park? Criswell Park is the main complex for youth baseball and softball in Monroe and surrounding area. Not sure the families that spend their time at the park would enjoy the gun range either.

I do not want this gun range/ skeet shooting so close to Criswell children’s park. The noise will also be terrible so close to my home. This should be in a secluded area not right by homes and recreational parks. The dangers are too great.

I’m inclined to agree with the petitioner, my children stay with his children often. Why was we not apprised of this addition? I’m extremely pro gun in conducive surroundings, but obviously not here.

I'm willing to drive further for skeet and trap, y'all. This location is just disrespectful.

This is not acceptable in a residential area and more importantly inside of a recreational area with baseball fields, horse arena, pickleball courts and an ultimate Frisbee course

No shooting range

Surely with so much more suitable, rural space in our county no one acts believes this is a good idea? Aside from undesirable noise, and more importantly, the decision makers are asking for tragic accidents this close to populated areas, particularly children.

Not needed

This range is unnecessary and is too to residential and recreation areas.

Guns should not be this close to a park!
