Hello, my name is Antonio Leach, and I am a loving grandfather, father, brother, son and faithful member of the community. I have spent the last decade of my life incarcerated for a non-violent, drug offense that I committed when I was young and immature. During this time of my present incarceration on the inside, I have completed multiple rehabilitative programs, earning several certificates, which include, but not limited too, Rehabilitative Diversion Unit/Cognitive behavior program, Substance Abuse Recovery, Anger Management, Commitment to Change program, Safe Patient Handling, Domestic Abuse, Forklift Material Handling and Safety, Math Skills, Machinery and Vehicular Safety, Freelance Work, Food Service Worker and Safety Training, Advanced Interpersonal Communication/Customers and Vendors, Media and Social Media Best Practices, Money Basics, Medication Safety Basics, Basic First Aid, Adult and Child CPR, Electricity, Basic Computer Skills, Drug and Alcohol Abuse, Adapting to Change, and Motivation: Identifying, Planning, and Implementing: Positive Mental Attitude. I have also obtained my G.E.D., and I am currently on the waiting list to obtain my C.D.L.. I have also mentored to younger inmates and I have stayed deeply connected to my family and friends. Due to the recent changing in Federal laws and criminal justice sentencing reforms, such as The First Step Act of 2018, I am pursuing a reduction in my sentence, pursuant to 18 U.S.C. 3582(c)(1)(A), and the sentence that I am currently serving would not be the same sentence, if imposed on me in this day and time, as it would be lower. I am humbly and respectfully asking for your support in bringing my case to the attention of the Federal District Court Judge and the Federal government, so that I may return home and be reunited with my family while I continue rebuilding my life for the better.
