Chef Jess Fulkerson was an integral part of the success of Kingwood Country Club after the devastation of Hurricane Harvey. We didn’t have a club, and many members had homes destroyed. At the time, the Club didn’t have anything to offer the Membership. Chef Jess WAS our club.
Chef Jess was not just our Chef but a friend and family member. He provided a home away from home, wonderful food, and comfort during an incredibly difficult time. He gave us an extension to our living rooms and kitchens, when some had no walls in their home. It wasn’t just the culinary talents that he brought to us, but the love he poured into us by serving us and getting to know us each personally.
We respectfully request the reinstatement of Chef Jess Fulkerson as the Executive Chef at the Clubs of Kingwood.

Not only is Jess a wonderful asset to the country club, he and his wife are fantastic members of our community. They have both volunteered countless hours at Kingwood High School helping judge student and faculty cooking competitions, preparing meals and dishes for events, and showing the students how to give back. As many others have said, we not only want, but need Chef Jess back.
2 steps forward and 4 steps back...I'm sure you've recognized the drop in dinner reservations by now and will continue to do so...of all the decision making that goes into an operation like our club it is one of the worst displayed. This Gentleman was the Club when we didn't have one, and now that it's up & running with the kitchen he envisioned for US you decide to take the low road and fire him. He is not the human resource Dept. Take the corporate BS and politics out this and give this great man and his family back the position he earned!
If Jess was to be "punished" for not knowing he was hiring illegals, there is something wrong with the process, the corporation's human resources or the punishment. Jess is the best we have had and I have been a member for 44 years.
He not only made the food better than ever but he came out and jump started my car in the parking lot one day after Harvey. Please get him back on the team. We had stopped eating at the club before Jess came and he brought us back with the new, greater menu and best tasting food.
Beautifully written and absolutely correct! He fed our hearts from a trailer when there was NOTHING else to keep us there.
We miss Chef Jess. Not just a great Chef but a wonderful person.
Jess was not only our chef, but also a friend. My family truly enjoys the steak on the lake experience. Jess always made time shake your hand and catch up with your family. I would love to see him back at Kingwood.

Chef Jess cooked out of a trailer for a year while the club was being rebuilt from Hurricane Harvey. He never complained and always came out to greet us with a smile. He is one of a few very big reasons the “new” club has been so nice to be a part of. He is a vital part of both the club and the community. Please bring him back.
