•Why is it important that we have a Sustainability Coordinator at Oxy? - The College needs an office to organize, coordinate, focus, and direct sustainability efforts across campus - Current students, workers, prospective students, and alumni are invested in this issue - The position will showcase Occidental’s commitment to environmental sustainability - Many comparable schools have had success with this model (Pomona College, Macalester College, Oberlin College) **Many other schools have sustainability offices and at least one full time staff person devoted to campus sustainability**
