Petition in protest against the decision of the Swedish Migration Board<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

on deporting Mr. Taghi Heidari to Iran

Mr. Taghi Heidari, case number 26191-10, member of the Worker-communist Party of Iran, applied for asylum in Sweden for 9 years ago due to his activities against the Islamic regime of Iran.

In addition, he has during the past 9 years actively participated in protest actions against the Islamic regime – protests that have been organized by oppositional organizations, and in some of them he has given speech too. There are many evidences that support this, such as video clips, photos, and radio interviews which are presented to the Swedish Migration Board.

But the Migration Board have overlooked all his evidences, and decided to deport Mr. Heidari to Iran! Each of his anti-regime activities abroad is strong enough that he be persecuted and punished by the regime.

According to the Swedish Secret Service, there are many facts proving that the Security Service of Iran has been watching the Iranian oppositions in Sweden, and Mr. Heidari is one of those who have been and still is politically active in Sweden against the Islamic regime.

Ignoring the life and security of asylum-seekers by Swedish authority is ignoring the Geneva Convention and the Convention of Human Rights which Sweden has ratified.

We the undersigned demand that the Swedish Migration Board reconsider Mr. Heidari’s case as soon as possible by taking above-mentioned facts into consideration and grant him asylum.
