I live at 4326 Broadway St and am opposed to this variance. I believe there is a need to preserve property for Special Use to serve the community.

Greetings neighbors As a person who lives directly across the street from this property. (624 E 42nd St, gray house) My issue is strictly with the variance. I do not want a commercial business of any kind to occupy that building, whether it is Mr Churchman's business or otherwise. That is the real issue at hand not Mr Churchman's character or intent. I want the the "flavor" of this still fragile and evolving area/neighborhood to remain in the positive direction it has been heading and not be tanted by a commercial business. I believe a commercial business in that building would completely disrupt this flow. It will also potentially allow for the encroachment of other commercial variances in our neighborhood in the future. Both of mu neighbors on either side of me are opposed to the building being zoned for commercial purposes. If you can attend the hearing scheduled for Feb 3rd @ 1pm, please do! I am starting a new job that week and am unsure if I will be able to make the public hearing. If you can not make the hearing but wish to have your voice heard as a memeber of this community who lives in close proximity to this building.
