Here at Umass, there is a urgent problem with our milk supply.
Thousands of milk-drinking students have drawn a glass of dining hall milk, only to immediately notice that something is missing. The fat!

But wait! fat is bad for you! there's a reason for no whole milk! Right? WRONG

Take away the fat from your milk, you are just drinking sugar. The fat causes slower digestion, preventing a rapid insulin spike. Check it out:

The conversation surrounding our campus dining options is growing more productive as more students contribute their personal perspectives. I am currently reaching out to dining administrators to ensure our request for whole milk is properly reviewed.

The momentum behind this request for dietary choice on campus has exceeded my initial expectations. It is clear that many students recognize the physiological importance of high quality dairy options in the dining hall.

Milk is my favorite drink but when I'm at school I rarely ever get to drink it because Skim is nasty and 1% isn't much better... I only drink milk at school if I go and buy at least 2%.... Why should I have the school restricting me from drinking good milk
I've heard some students have resorted to drinking half&half to sedate their need for fat! This is wrong UMASS!
We need this.

I have 2 college students that go to UMass Amherst and they always wish the dining halls had whole milk!
