Petition for Traffic Safety and Speed Control in Willow Wood Place
To: SBB Community Management (HOA)
Regarding: Excessive Speeding & Cut-Through Traffic
We, the undersigned residents of Willow Wood Place, respectfully request that SBB Community Management, in coordination with the City of Tomball, take action to address excessive vehicle speeds and cut-through traffic on Texas Willow Drive and Blooming Willow Drive.
Our neighborhood has experienced an increase in vehicles using these streets as a shortcut between surrounding areas, particularly from the Village Creek neighborhood. These vehicles are frequently traveling at unsafe speeds through our residential community.
Willow Wood Place is home to small children, families, pedestrians, and pets. Speeding and cut-through traffic create dangerous conditions for children playing outdoors, residents walking or biking, and families crossing the street. This concern is not directed at Willow Wood residents, but at non-resident traffic passing through the neighborhood.
We respectfully request consideration of one or more of the following safety measures:
• A formal traffic and speed study
• Increased enforcement or speed monitoring
• Speed limit signage or flashing speed indicators
• Traffic-calming devices such as speed humps, tables, or chicanes
• Measures to discourage cut-through traffic where feasible
Our intent is to improve safety and quality of life, not to penalize residents or visitors. We believe proactive steps will help ensure Willow Wood Place remains a safe, family-friendly neighborhood.
Thank you for your time and attention to this important safety concern.
Sincerely,
Residents of Willow Wood Place
Tomball, Texas 77377
