My children, dog and I have almost been run over several times by drivers that are obviously driving too fast and carelessly through our neighborhood! I would love to see the speed limit reduced. One enticement of this neighborhood is mobility without motorization. I agree with safety measures being made to Park Terrace immediately!

It would be good to also lower the speed limit on Lauderdale going south from Three Chop to Park Terrace Drive as it is difficult to make a left turn fWellesley Terrace Lane onto Lauderdale.ee.

Not the best solution, but perhaps a 3-way stop sign at Rutgers?

This road has a lot of walkers, many are children walking pets. Additionally, the road is curved, meaning that someone trying to cross can't see around the curve, and sometimes a speedy car is just around the curve. A lower speed limit is certainly warranted for everyone's safety.

The combination of the speed limit on Park Terrace and the limited sight distance creates a hazardous situation and a safety issue. It's a bigger safety issue for those on foot where you are unable to see approaching vehicles regardless of the available crosswalks. The issue is compounded obviously when drivers are speeding. I emailed Sharon Smidler (Henrico County Traffic Engineer) earlier this year who responded that the required sight distances with the posted speed and road width are met. I hope this petition will help change the county's decision.

Drivers are way too fast through our neighborhood and very dangerous for our children and disabled neighbors. People are flying past busses with our children's safety at risk.

Speed limit MUST be reduced to 25. WAY too many people running, walking, children on bikes and drivers will push 40 MPH along this corridor just to save a few seconds. Has to stop before someone gets killed.

Agree this has become a critical issue for our community. The limited sight lines along this stretch of road make it all the more dangerous and most drivers do not obey the crosswalks.

People fly thru this stretch of road. Have to risk my life crossing into Glenn Gary for a run.

This situation will only deteriorate more as the development continues further west.

I have lived by and walked on that street since 1990. Something needs to be done. I have come close to being hit several times!

Park Terrace is definitely a cut through for drivers to avoid portions Lauderdale and Three Chopt Roads. This section is heavily used by walkers, strollers and bicyclists and therefore is a dangerous section when most drivers exceed the 35 mph limit.

Unfortunately, I believe that Park Terrace is being used as a "cut through" -- reduced speeds along with speed strips or bumps may help curb that.

This section of Park Terrace has been unsafe for over a decade and has only gotten worse as development has continued and people increasingly use the road as a cut through. There have been close calls over the years (both pedestrian and vehicular) and speeds well in excess of the posted 35 MPH are repeatedly observed. It is unsafe for our children and completes negates their ability to leave their neighborhood. Something must be done and the "something" is not a police officer setting periodic speed traps.
