Do you have a loved one buried in the Grand View Memorial Park Cemetery at 1341 Glenwood Rd, Glendale 91201? Did you know that Verizon plans to build a 5-story cell tower on the property? If you feel that this is disrespectful to those buried there, please sign this petition. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A GLENDALE RESIDENT TO SIGN THIS PETITION. You just need to be someone with a loved one buried in the cemetery.

PETITION TO DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND TO THE GLENDALE CITY COUNCIL TO DENY A PERMIT TO VERIZON WIRELESS FOR A CELL TOWER AT THE GRAND VIEW MEMORIAL PARK CEMETERY

We, the undersigned, who have loved ones buried in the Grand View Memorial Park Cemetery attest that we are in opposition to the installation of the cellular tower Verizon Wireless plans to put up in this cemetery. Impacted residents in this neighborhood have good cell phone reception, will be visually impacted by this tower, and want Verizon to find a more acceptable location. Furthermore, we feel that it is disrespectful and sacrilegious to place a cell tower in a cemetery, whether or not zoning laws allow it.

We call upon Mr. Hassan Haghani, the Planning Commission, the Glendale City Council as well as Grand View Memorial Park Cemetery Representative, Mr. Reg Duran, to respect those buried here by DENYING the installation of a cell tower in Grand View Memorial Park Cemetery.
