Yet another example of Foreign players arrogantly flexing their power. There is no excuse for this shameful act.

Покушај привремених косовских институција и канцеларије француске и Немачке да се и мртви Срби - хероји у Балканским ратовима и Великом рату албанизују

Moving the monument aside honoring to the fallen Serbian soldiers in the wars between 1912-1918 violated several principles. To begin with, the monument is not a decorated message board or a banner that can be adjusted to suit the demands of those commemorating a special occasion for photo ops. With this act, they offended the Orthodox Christians by violating fundamental principal that the monument should be positioned above the heads (headstone) and oriented towards the east. They disregarded respect, above all, to those whose bones were buried there by removing the monument. Not just them. In the First World War, over 1,250,000 Serbs lost their lives, and they did not honor them. Not just them. The sentiments of their descendants have been hurt. Not just them… They violated property rights. It's not their responsibility, nightery right or obligation to make adjustments to anything that is not theirs. Simultaneously, they failed to consult with relevant interested parties/stakeholders, even avoiding representatives of the Raska-Prizren Diocese, which directly takes care of the Orthodox cemeteries. As someone who had the pleasure of working with "Médecins du Monde" and has supported the promotion of French culture through Francophonie activities on several occasions, I am saddened and disappointed by the French Embassy's initiative to move the monument. Any further delay in restoring the monument to its rightful place harms further activities of your embassies, undermines the friendship of two nations founded on true and shared values, and demonstrates disrespect to the heroes who gave their lives for the freedom of their allies.
