I have been studying with John Kadz for 8 years now and I have decided to stay in Calgary for my undergrad because of the APP program and Mr. Kadz. Many of my friends and peers have decided to come to Calgary because of the education that is provided here, and have made decisions about staying in this city because of Mr. Kadz.

When you join a music program, you do it as much for its personal teacher as for the institution. It is attached to the reputation of the school and is the main factor on witch, wether or not, you decide to join the program.

John KADZ is one of the finest cello professors teaching in Canada, and in North America today. He is widely and warmly respected amongst the finest cello professors in this geographical area. There is also a strong demand from students to study with him in Calgary. I urge Mt. Royal College to support and cherish this exceptional member of their faculty and to invite him to continue to teach at Mt Royal.

The most important aspect of a quality educational institution is the quality of its faculty. John Kadz is one of the world's great cello teachers. Mount Royal should be fighting to keep him - not remove him. Renew his contract, and sustain the world-class music program of Mount Royal!

I have known and worked with literally countless of MRUC's alumni. John Kadz's contributions to Canadian musical landscape cannot be underestimated. MRUC must expand, not atrophy, as must the entire Canadian arts community.

It is unbelievably ignorant to not recognize the value in these two incredible artists who have contributed extraordinary amounts to the Canadian classical music scene. We expect this uninformed and disrespectful decision to be undone immediately.
