If the Receiver for the School District of the City York makes a decision to convert all of the buildings to Charter Schools, I fully intend on choosing the traditional public school option for my child.
The momentum is undeniable. Families are demanding a real choice.

I want the other school option education for my children. I have one child with ADHD and who also is also classified as gifted. He needs extra special attention and a behavioral plan, something charter schools do not provide. and home school or cyber school will not work for a child with ADHD, and I am a full time working patent so no I can not be home with him.

There are many unanswered questions that still need answered for us to consider a charter school option for our child. This is the most crucial time of her high school career.

The children are the ones to suffer through this, you keep taking away from them, recess, arts, music, sports programs, whats next lunch? The teachers also suffer by not having these outlets for their class rooms. I have seen first hand how much the teachers in York City care and love their students. Dont take that away from them as well

The data shows the public schools are out performing charter schools. Why would anyone choose a charter school?

I will not send my son to charter schools run by these people! I will choose a traditional public school option for my child. I have that right, by law!

The School District of the City of York is the answer here! Let's give them the resources, which are so desperately needed, so they can perform their essential duties and meet success. The lack of resources is the key issue which should be addressed!
