I've been a medical cannabis patient for years and it's time cannabis was treated as a prescription and Trillium should be paying for my medication, which costs twice the amount I bring in every month on my Canada Disability Pension and Widow's Pension. Those pensions haven't been raised significantly while the price of everything else has gone up. My medication costs $800 on the street, while Health Canada approved growers are charging me up to $25 PER GRAM...which is outright robbery and making money off the backs of the sick and disabled. Legalize now!

We, the undersigned, Citizens or residents of Canada, call upon the Government of Canada to immediately: 1. Repeal the prohibition on possession and personal cultivation of cannabis; 2. Repeal Section 462.2 of the Criminal Code, which bans literature and harm reduction devices like waterpipes and vaporizers; 3. Permit patients or their designated grower to provide medical cannabis as recommended by a physician; and 4. End police raids against community medical cannabis dispensaries, and enable their municipal regulation, as per the position of the Union of BC Municipalities; and within one year: 5. Fully agree for many reasons (ie. arrests for such a minor thing can cause major legal problems for otherwise completely law-abiding good citizens; it's a silly waste of police time/effort/money especially in cases of smaller amounts; medical use proven valid through my own personal experience and that of many other good citizens I've spoken to.)

Help diversify medical treatments, and decriminalize marajuana so many will not be wrongfully prosecuted and continue to unnecessarily waste tax dollars processing them through the criminal justice system.

Far safer than all the prescribed narcotics on the market. I know from experience!

AND, medical cannabis users need to have their medication paid for by insurance companies, Trillium, etc...it's a prescripton and we're paying $12 to $25 per gram, plus HST, plus shipping...my medication costs 1/3 more than I make in a month on a fixed income--no one helps pay for this medication, yet they will pay for all the narcotics the doctor prescribes--what's up with that???

This is a herb with a long history of serving mankind to cure & prevent many ailments. Please put it back with the fruits & vegetables!

proud to be canadian! I am a safe consumer of cannabis for years. Canada should take a look at mexicos new drug policies in regards to giving us the human rights to grow and have as much cannabis as we like. Thank you!
