Now that the first Company of Heroes is quite old, and the online community has shrunk, I think a good addition to the gameplay would be allowing random team selections in multiplayer.
Removing the restriction of Allies and Axis being unable to battle against its ally, and teaming up with the enemy, causing such battles as USA and WHER vs Brits and PE, or dual american vs dual brits etc.
This petition is to Sega, Relic, Steam to add a final patch to allow this function.
I do not believe it would take much work, and could freshen up the COH 1 community.
There may be balance issues, so this could be simply addressed by being able to disable the function of random team selections, leaving players with a choice of playing the normal way, or the new style.
This would create a whole new set of tactics, which will develop at a fast rate early on. I think this would make the game as exciting as it was when the new armys appeared in the expansions.
I think if the community can get enough signatures on here, we may be able to make it happen.
