We, the undersigned residents of Tshepisong Phase 1 and surrounding areas, respectfully petition for the installation of speed humps on Ruth First Street and Anthony Dali Street, as well as the paving of the feeder roads that connect to these streets.

These roads are nearing completion, and as responsible community members, we believe now is the appropriate time to implement safety and infrastructure-protection measures.

Reasons for This Petition

Protecting Children and Elderly Residents:

Speeding vehicles pose a danger to vulnerable community members.

A Proactive Safety Approach:

It is better to prevent accidents rather than respond after harm has occurred.

Main High-Traffic Roads:

Both streets have high pedestrian and vehicle activity, requiring traffic-calming measures.

Community-Wide Benefit:

These roads serve the entire Tshepisong Phase 1 community and beyond; therefore, all residents should support measures that ensure public safety.

Protection of Road Infrastructure

Several feeder roads (straight roads and crescents) flow directly into these main streets.

We propose the urgent paving of these feeder roads to prevent water and sand erosion that may cause potholes and damage the newly built infrastructure.

We, the undersigned, call on the relevant authorities to act in the interest of community safety and the protection of public infrastructure by approving the installation of speed humps and paving the identified feeder roads.
