Petition for school tuition fee for Jumeirah College (JC)

Requesting school fee reduction in line with current economic climate, education being received as well non usage of school facilities.

As per the current situation it’s difficult time for everyone so would request the KHDA to reduce the 3rd semester fee.

Fee reduction should be made for term 3

i have signed my form. my son is in gems wellington international school.

The request for a rebate is fair considering all these classes are being conducted online now. The operating costs are significantly less. Please consider this fairly as other institutes have also done.

If school fee reduced its better for us overcome this difficult time.

The fee should be reduced since the online learning is not good enough.

It's a shame schools despite mostly being commercial profit making companies are simply ignoring their stakeholders and customers. Globally and in the UAE we are facing times of pay cuts and economic insecurity, many have been laid off and others forced to take unpaid leave. Surely we all need to share the pain just as we look how to survive with our employees and accept pay reductions temporarily surely schools must look to do the same and not arrogantly focus on their profits.

#InthistigetgetDubai Are we in this together? With parents loosing jobs, facing financial struggle and GEMS chasing them about 3rd terms fees and re-enrolment deposit, unwilling to accept decreased profits? Shame.

Please support your community of parents who are struggling during this time, as many of us have been affected financially. Please also look after our teachers who are our most valuable asset.

Dear JC please through this petition we request to reduce the school fees due to the fact that there is no running costs of school now , no electricity , no DEWA no teacher assistants , no extra curriculum activity , .... Ect , all these costs to be reduced from term three , please do not deduct from teachers salaries , but consider readjustment and decrease from GEMS huge profit which they are doing from school fees all past years . We and all the world are passing through pandemic crisis leading to reduce in salaries for all industries so we are already facing decrease , this need to be cascaded to all industries , Schol’s and universities . Looking for your reply ASAP by/before April 1 st . Also to decrease or waiver re enrollment fees

As justified in these tough times for all of us, the parents of all schools (not only referring to GEMS Schools only), the parents should be granted concession in the school fees for 2019 - 2020 as well as 2020 - 2021 academic year especially considering the overheads savings made by the schools (I.e. except teachers and staff salaries) all other expenses have reduced drastically. Even the school bus fees already paid in advance for this 2nd term should be carried forward and adjusted based on the actual number of days students actually utilized the school transport for the term. This is humble request on behalf of all the parents which is a justified and genuine request in these b tough times. Schools should not be run as a profit making organisation in these global pandemic times at least.
