I'm sick and tired of every year school taxes are being elevated . Especially in a time where the only property being built is that of apartments where there is ONLY 1 tax payor, which I'm sure paying a reduced rate . The apartment buildings do not offer community. At least if it was condos there would be an investment in community not just using our schools, by over crowding the class rooms, again with people who are NOT invested in the community and rents being charged at over 2k for studio apts. Forcing the adults that were raised in Farmingdale to move elsewhere. It just comes down to greed on the board, who are only concerned about lining there own pockets with tax payors money so "their" children can prosper while tax paying citizens are forced out. Seniors prices out . Single people priced out . All the years the school taxes only were hiked and you have teachers griping they aren't paid enough? Because pensions of over 70k don't work for them NOT ENOUGH money. It sounds pretty good to me for working less than 10 months out of the year. It's just disgusting how this school board runs and don't even let me get started on topics force fed down young kids and teens throats. Meanwhile parents are working constantly to try to provide still with debt mounting. Farmingdale School Board and town should be ashamed of themselves. Funny how in other states they don't even have school taxes and their education systems are rising and a family can lead a life of less stress and spend time to be a family. Where does the lotto money go to fund education I was told why can't that money be used to aid schools not the answer that it is because if it is used for education then I'm convinced that raising school taxes are for only lining the pockets of Supertentants and used as kick back money and to whiney teachers who aren't even able to control their class or kids.

School taxes are forcing people out of long island... something has to be done

We need tax relief. I support a committee to look into each department and find areas to cut. I am a graduate of Farmingdale hs and have lived in the district most of my life. My children and grandchildren all attended, attend or will attend the Farmingdale schools

This is a no Brainer. I don't know why this didn't exist already.

As a senior I want my school tax more affordable.
