A truck backed into me at the High Knob exit. A car was going so fast on Rt 55E that the truck driver could not see him until he pulled out on RT55. The truck driver had to back up at Hign Knob entrance to avoid be hit by the fast moving car. Consquently he backed into my car.

A very dangerous and busy intersection. One official paved entrance for a community of 400+ homes and no turn lanes or light?
This is long overdue!

The extra lane for turning into high knob is a much needed project to ensure the safety of thousands of drivers on RTE 55 daily.

For the safety of thru vehicles on Rt 55 and the ones waiting to turn do pl consider. The turn goes from 55 mph to 0 when vehicles are waiting to turn.

This is a constant topic of concern and something needs to be done before we have another serious crash or a death.

Would help to also have a bigger sign, pavement markers or other visual cues to indicate where the exit actually is. The present street sign is too small IMHO

It should indeed be understood that safety will only deteriorate at this intersection as traffic continues to increase due to growth of the area, and these critical, common sense improvements should not be delayed until 2025 or beyond.

We need to make driving west on 55 and turning left into High Knob safer. Thank you.

Our community needs to learn how to drive, but this is a most dangerous intersection, that often requires two to watch both directions, before entering East on RT 55!

Cresting the hill at 55 mph to have stopped traffic yards ahead makes for a very dangerous situation.

I drove by the aftermath of an accident at this intersection a couple of weeks ago, and there was a late term pregnant woman standing outside her car. How many people have to get injured or die before the state government here takes action?

It's very dangerous turning on and I always tap my breaks and turn my signal on well in advance.

My greatest fear is, heading westbound and having to stop for a car in front of me that needs to turn left- and a vehicle traveling behind me, crashing into the back of me. This is a nightmare!

I moved from the mountain because my children started driving and that intersection is terrifying.

It is a horrible area. Just imagine traveling that road and not residing in this area. You come up over the hill and cars are at a dead stop.
There is also a bus stop there. It used to actually be on High Knob Rd but over the years was changed to stop on 55. It is NOT a safe area .
